Participants are supported to develop important everyday life skills such as doing laundry, washing and drying clothes, ironing and folding items properly. Learning these practical skills helps build confidence, independence and pride, empowering participants to take greater control of their daily lives.
Staying active is an important part of building confidence and maintaining good wellbeing. At Step Together, attendees have the opportunity to try a variety of physical activities such as indoor climbing, trampolining, walking, sports sessions and other fun challenges in the community.
Activities are always encouraged at each person’s own pace, helping individuals feel comfortable while developing confidence, coordination and independence. Being active together also creates a positive environment where friendships grow and everyone can celebrate their achievements.
Step Together is all about creating meaningful experiences and lasting friendships. Participants enjoy a wide range of activities including travel training across London, community excursions, life skills sessions and exciting days out. We also offer unique opportunities such as flying a plane, camping adventures and special trips that give participants unforgettable once in a lifetime experiences.
